Q&A:

What do you find most enjoyable about working in the trades?

The mornings are early, the days are long, and the changing weather is brutal. I always ended the day absolutely exhausting. To a lot of people, working in the trades would be hell. I found some deep satisfaction from fixing and building. It comes with working with my hands and enduring a raw vision of life forgoing comfort and digital experiences and spending my time under the sun.

What do think is the biggest misconception about working in the trades?

Trade jobs often are stereotyped around a low-level labor position. What most people don't know is just how much education and training it requires to be in a skilled trade and in a specialty industry like renewables. What I love about the trades is there is a lot of room for people depending on what you are looking for and what skills you have.

What attracted you to Diamondback?

One of my favorite things about being in the trades is the tools. The first time I saw a diamondback set up I was hooked. The high-quality, customizable products were exactly what I was looking for.

What is your favorite DB product and why?

My favorite Dimondback product is the DB sax. I started using the DB Sax on the job sight and it was a game changer. Being able to store tools and hardware and take them up to the roof in an efficient manner whatever the situation was is a dream come true. It's no wonder products resembling what is used by rock climbers were so applicable to rooftop solar.

Favorite comfort food?

My favorite comfort food is going to be found spinning on a grill at the nearest gas station. Little ketchup, mustard, relish, and a cold Redbull, and I'm in my happy place.
