I was excited to invest in Diamondback gear. The branding and price point suggested high end, American made quality. But the experience fell short.

After ordering from Canada, I got hit with a surprise $275 FedEx charge before delivery. Diamondback didn’t clearly warn about this during checkout. A vague line about possible duties isn’t enough. Basically no warning at all.

Support later confirmed most of their gear is no longer made in the U.S. They’ve outsourced production, but the branding still leans hard on that American-made image. That’s misleading.

The gear seems well built, but when you pay premium prices, you expect honesty. I would have used a local dealer or shopped elsewhere if I had known.

If you’re outside the U.S. to Canada know this: the listed price is not the final cost. The Vest and pouches are high quality, ill give them that! But that should be obvious given the price.
