I keep my tape in the main pouch, and a pair of smallish pliers and a 6 inch rule in the sleeve pocket. There’s room for a few smaller things as well

I'm a machinist, this tape holder is amazing. It holds my waukee tape, welding pliers, soapstone and marker, and my utility knife. I feel naked when I don't have my gk1 pouch on.

I bought the GK1 specifically for the tape holster (and as a fan of Gary Katz). However, the pouch does not comfortably fit a 25' FatMax, though it is advertised as being able to hold a 35' tape. I can fit the tape in, but it cannot be quickly retrieved, even with the standard metal clip removed. Luckily, the tape does work well with the external webbing clip. I instead use the pouch for fasteners or chalk line.

When I purchased the GK1, I was working in trim, and it was great for the small measuring tools, etc., that are needed for fine finish work. The clip also has no chance of ever falling off the belt, though anything that's not snug will fall out when laying your belt on the ground.

Pretty good I wish it held the tape better though it falls out whenever i bend over to pick something off the ground
