Q&A:
What do you find most enjoyable about working in the trades?
I make build or install something almost every day. At the end of the day, you can see the what you have accomplished. We build shelter, one of the most basic human needs, and that is pretty cool.
What do think is the biggest misconception about working in the trades?
Biggest misconception is that trades people are less intelligent than people than people who go to university. The technology going into homes and commercial structures requires a highly skilled workforce. I have the upmost respect for doctors, but most would be limited to Housecalls if no one built offices or hospitals.
