New to the DB vest system, using this on a vest with the Mazo X as my dominant/right pouch.

I primarily do historic restoration carpentry, so change modes from job to job and day to day...sometimes trim, sometimes wiring, sometimes framing, etc. and I've got to say that right out of the gate with this whole rig, (this pouch in particular), I finally feel like I've got everything I need without a huge set of framer bags, or a cumbersome amount of little pouches clipped on my pants everywhere.

The two speed square slots are perfect (yes, I'm a nerd and carry both a 7" and 4" square, AND a 6" adjustable trim-square in my right pouch), the rear loop holds a normal japanese-style cat's paw perfectly...forgive me if I'm tearing up in joy but yes, this is the pouch I've been waiting for my whole life (sniff, sob)

This whole system was a huge investment (excellent pun in there somewhere) but it absolutely blows away all the other brands I've seen and tried on. I am completely sold on DB vest systems and am already making fun of the other guys on my crew for not having one..."oh don't have your torpedo level on ya? Maybe it's back in 1985 where your bigass clunky tool belt came from."

I write with my left hand and swing my hammer with my right. This bag, with a hammer holster, was my best decision. It keeps the square in place, got a pocket for my iron worker pliers, tape, and utility knife. The clip holder in the front will hold any nail gun/tico gun/impact drill with ease. I am a union carpenter and right now we’re rough framing. This bag, with the Thor bag (with nail oiler holster) as a fastener/drill bit bag and a side kick/Euro bag on the back is unstoppable.
