This is the best side by side bag on the market. I love that it has tool slots on the inside of the main bag. A feature you never knew you needed until now. The lower bags can be a little hard to get into for smaller fasteners if you've got tools, such as a micro speed square, in those respective slots. I'm hoping that will improve as I break in the bags. I would love to see the tape pouch replaced with the one found on the Eagle X bag. The fabric used on this one creates a lot of friction on the rubber found on most tape measures. It is not a deal breaker but getting your tape in and out is definitely not as smooth as it is on the Eagle X.

I’ve used the original sxs pouch for several years and needed a replacement, so I purchased this sxs x pouch.

There are a number of things that are a downgrade from the original:

1) The chalk line/tape pocket is far too bulky and impedes removal of the speed square. The material is inflexible compared to the seatbelt on the original. The loops have little practical use as well.

2) There is unnecessary padding on the backside of each pocket that decreases accessibility. The pockets are far less accessible than the original. It’s much harder to reach small fasteners that settle at the bottom of the pouch.

3) The small tool slot opposite the level/cats paw pouch is mostly inaccessible- the pouch nearly covers the top. Previously, I used this for a long nail set, but now it’s much harder to remove from the pouch.

4) Another small slot removed from the rear pouch.

Positives:

1) Cats paw/torpedo level slot is slightly smaller so cats paws will no longer work their way out over the day.

2) Additional slots in central pocket are useful

3) Molle webbing is tight and has plenty of application

I would recommend sticking with the classic sxs.

Excellent quality plenty storage

The sxs x pouch is awesome i had the mule pouch clipped with an extra pouch and was working but the new sxs x pouch has finally delivered what ive been needing, the two pouches in front is nice could be a tad bigger but also is fine not to bulky im in and out of apartments so usually on the tighter side so this is a good happy medium! Overall happy with product only a few days wearing it and already love it!!!
