I just started using the small tape holster and the rivets just popped right out after barely a week of use... with a 16' tape even. Seems awfully cheap. Hoping they'll replace it and I'll give it another try.

I've been investing into the clip on accessories. So far been. Left with disappointments. Several clip on accessories have failed on the clip rivets. Barely after a week of use. I've invested thousands of dollars into diamond back just doesn't seem like the quality is there. Especially with they're 701vest you barely snag a nail and it tears the mesh. Probably start looking at alternative products. For the price you pay for diamond the quality just ain't there.

I have struggled to recreate the classic carpenters setup of yester year (basic 4 pocket nail apron worn backwards with tape in center of back) with some of the upgrades to ergonomics that have appeared over the last decades such as the Diamond back tool vest. Sadly the tape holster when positioned center back of vest is too high to be practical, so has not been a benefit to me. Instead I have lashed a leather CLC tape holder to the vest, which hangs low enough to grab the tape without too much contorting. If there were a holder that hangs lower or a way of adding an extension to allow things to hang lower that could be useful, but I accept that my needs/wants are particular. I am almost 50 and don't feel like having to develop new muscle memory and adapt my habits to what is available on the market, so instead am adapting a$500+ dollar rig to try and meet my preferences based on the 1 benefit of excellent weight distribution offered by the vest. While the intended modularity of being able to clip various attachments to various places on the vest is a lofty goal and the clips appeared to be designed in a way intended to prevent things from popping off. Everything attached to front of vest has popped or fallen off 1 or more times a day when attempting to engage in normal framing activities.

In fact the be purchased the 711,715 pouches and a mini bag and none of them seem to stay . Very annoying considering how great the concept is.I have ordered a new vest and I hope this will solve the problem.
My colleague has the belt and no problems with any of my pouches. I think the webbing is too thin on the vest I had.

I do like the tape holster, but it is a little smaller then I thought. A Fatmax 25' barley fits in it, I am hoping it breaks in as time goes on but I am also a little nervous to use any other tape in case it won't fit. I did try a Milwaukee 25' and it would not fit.
