This thing is MORE than just a hammer holder. I have used it to hold big metal shears, a hammer tack stapler etc. I love the smaller holder added to the inside. I keep a cats paw in there. I never feel it against my leg; it's super easy and convenient.
Finding a spot for pipe wrenches in tool bags can be tricky. But this makes it easy. I actually bought one for each side. Gives me a spot for my crescent wrench too. Fits a 14" and 18" Ridgid pipe wrench perfectly. Finding tools bags that actually work for fire sprinklerfitters is a pain but these work great so far.
