High-quality product, highly recommend.
When I was a pro framer I tried the Chopo system and it wasn’t the right fit for me. Recently, when I began work for an organization building low-income housing, I realized my framing bags were too much. I decided to try Diamondback again because I always loved their small pouches. I was looking for something light and comfortable for daily essentials; and I didn’t want to run the risk of bumping and scuffing finished surfaces, so I went with the Maestro! The tool belt delivered on everything I was looking for. It’s fantastic. It’s right in the sweet spot of having the right amount of storage: plenty to carry the daily essentials and extras, but not too much to where I feel the need to load everything and then become too heavy. Perfect for all the misc. finishing tasks and trim work. I might even try these puppies when framing season comes around. Might be tricky with just the mini square but the comfort and intuitive design is worth the sacrifice. Clavo pouch can easily hold plenty of 16s in the outer pouch and nail gun racks in the main pouch. Only other issue is the spot for the tape. If you clip it on the outside of the Mazo, it’s tough to use that slot and the tape at the same time. I ordered the tape pouch so we’ll see how that goes. I am very happy with these intuitive little tool bags, man! I look forward to using them! Thank you.
Can’t go wrong with this belt, overall awesome product even for framing, highly recommend!!!
I'm not much of a belt guy as a cabinetmaker, but feel like i'm wasting more time chasing some items down during installs and in the shop.
I wanted the smallest profile I could find, the Maestro seemed like a good fit.
My first impression was that it's lighter material than I was expecting. Belt is comfortable, but could be stiffer to handle loads. I noticed right away that it was much narrower than my old belt. I dont feel like I'm going to hit doorways or hall walls. I haven't been banging into cabinets. Even if I do, its pretty well padded.
I've been using it now for a couple weeks. I like the location of most of the pockets, bit index is great. The magnet is handy. Hammer and bar holster are very nice. The mini sax are super handy. I like being able to add and remove them at will. I think that i will be ordering the larger sax as well for shims and some other items.
This set up works really well for me, and should do fine for trim as well. With the addition of thr mini sax, it turns into a much more versatile set up.
If you need a speed square(I do occasionally) you need to plan on ordering either a different set up, or an additional pouch.
Im thinking the loki, or a full Dawson signaure set up for bigger stuff.
So when I wore my Diamondback on the first day I forgot I had it on because of how it fits and the light weight. Great product! I will be purchasing more accessories at a later date!! Keep up the great job.
